Electronics Recycling

Computers and electronic devices contain hazardous materials, such as mercury, and are banned from Indiana landfills. These hazardous materials can contaminate our water, soil, and endanger our health if not disposed of properly.

OmniSource Partnership

Since 2002, ACDEM has partnered with OmniSource to offer a year-round Electronics Recycling program to Allen County residents, businesses, and nonprofit agencies. Indiana law (IC 13-20.5) banned electronics from landfill disposal in 2011. Electronics collected in Allen County for recycling are demanufactured by a certified contractor, Electronic Recyclers International in Plainfield, Indiana.

Allen County residents can drop off unwanted computer and electronic equipment at:

1430 Meyer Road, Fort Wayne
Monday through Friday: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m.-noon
